Financial Support for Schools and Colleges
Youth & Connexions wishes to support schools and colleges to help young people make informed choices about their futures and overcome any barriers they may experience.
Financial support for careers guidance resources in schools and colleges consists of:
- Connexions Resource Maintenance - up to £300 worth of software.
- Connexions Bulk-Order for Resources - up to 17% discount on further software and books from the Prospects Catalogue.
Financial support for schools/colleges is offered in addition to:
- The Personal Adviser resource provided by Connexions, negotiated between school and college heads or their representatives with Connexions Co-ordinators through the Partnership Agreement process
- A range of
publications,
delivered through schools and colleges each year to enable young people to make informed choices at key transition phases
- INSET training for staff on a range of subjects including developments in careers education and guidance.
- 'thesource' website
- a "virtual library" of information about future choices for young people
- Other resources
e.g. notice boards, leaflet racks, signage available free to schools and colleges
