Parents & Carers

How does the Youth & Connexions Service help young people?

Parents and carers are the most important people in the lives of young people - they will turn to you first, for advice and support. is here to help young people make the right choices in life and find help, if they need it, to overcome any barriers they may have. To do so, we need to work in partnership with you.

The Youth & Connexions Service provides independent support for young people through professionally trained Personal Advisers and Recruitment Advisers, who will encourage young people to discuss issues through with their parents and carers.

To help young people make decisions at key stages, we provide a range of publications, usually delivered through schools. We also produce some specific publications for parents.

Other sources of information are available through our Information Assistants, who work in one-stop shops, our website for young people www.thesource.me.uk , our Freephone line and email information line enquiries@connexionssuffolk.org.uk
