Personal Advisers will encourage young people to discuss issues through with their parents or carers, although young people also have a right for their discussions or decisions to remain confidential.
To help young people make successful future choices the Youth & Connexions Service keeps a record of information that they may share with us, if it is relevant to their choices. The information is kept on a secure computer database which can only be accessed by staff working in the Connexions network.
We will not share young people's information with anyone else unless they give us permission after discussion with us, or if withholding the information would be against the law, or would put the young person or others at risk. Young people have a right to see any of the records we hold and can contact us if they would like to do so.
